EAST LANSING, Mich. — Civilized Cycles, a Detroit, Michigan-based mobility company, has received purchase order (PO) financing from the Michigan Rise Pre-Seed Fund III. Civilized Cycles develops a range of electric mobility solutions that enable individuals and businesses to transition away from gas-powered cars and trucks.
Founded with the mission to bring viable, sustainable electric vehicle options to the light commercial cargo market, Civilized Cycles leverages its patented air suspension system to create a unique “Semi-Trike” e-tricycle. The design offers greater cargo capacity than any e-bike currently available at a fraction of the total ownership costs of traditional gas-powered vans.
“The founders at Civilized Cycles are committed to helping advance the future of mobility in Michigan,” said Calvin VanderWal, Venture Associate at Michigan Rise. “Our PO Financing program is designed to help companies like Civilized Cycles fulfill critical early orders and scale effectively.”
“Our mission is to redefine the way goods are transported while setting a new standard for efficiency and environmental consciousness,” said Marc Liu, Co-Founder of Civilized Cycles. “The team at Michigan Rise understands how crucial working capital is to managing cash flow and fulfilling orders for startups at this stage.”
