EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan Rise has announced an investment in FreightRoll, Inc. during the company’s pre-seed extension round. FreightRoll has developed Digital Guard, an automated solution that offers a paperless alternative to traditional full-time warehouse gate attendants. This technology streamlines the authentication and entry process for truck drivers and shipments, allowing companies to reduce overhead costs and enhance operational efficiency.

Digital Guard is a significant advancement for the logistics industry. By leveraging near-field communication (NFC) technology, truck drivers can effortlessly check in at security gates by simply tapping their phones on an NFC reader. This seamless process improves efficiency and throughput, while minimizing traffic backups and mitigating physical risks. After the initial registration at a Digital Guard enabled gate, the driver’s phone and profile are recognized at all other Digital Gard enabled gates.

“We’re thrilled to invest in FreightRoll and support their mission of advancing the logistics industry with innovative technology,” said Prem Bodagala, Director at Michigan Rise. “Digital Guard has the potential to transform the way logistics companies manage their gate entry process, and we’re excited to see the impact it will have on the industry.”

The investment from Michigan Rise will enable FreightRoll to further develop Digital Guard among a broader customer base in the logistics industry.
